Can people see if you view their Instagram story?

In the Instagram app, yes: your name goes on the viewer list, which the owner can check for 48 hours. Here, no. The stories load through this site, not through your account, so no name is added.

Can I view a private story?

No. The viewer works only with public accounts. Stories from a private account are for the followers its owner approved, and they stay that way.

Do I need an Instagram account?

No. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to pay. Type a username, press View, and the stories load.

Can I download the stories I watch?

Yes. Every story in the grid has a download button, and so does the player. Files save at the resolution Instagram serves: MP4 for videos, JPG for photos.

Why do I see no stories?

The account posted no story in the last 24 hours, or it is private. The viewer cannot tell which. Try again later, or check the username.
